What has happened to Earth’s biodiversity and global ecosystem over the last 50 years? Duke’s Alex Pfaff will discuss the findings of a recent international panel that he helped write and that tried to answer that enormous question (spoiler alert: most of the news ain’t good). He will then turn to what we have tried to do about it so far and what else we might do moving forward.
Alex Pfaff is a Professor of Public Policy, Economics and Environment at Duke University. Trained as an economist, he is focused on how the environment and natural resources, economic development, and a range of policies influence each other.
