Austin Soul Queen Tameca Jones Is Catching Fire
(Austin, TX) Acclaimed Austin singer Tameca Jones brings her Texas sized talent to Motorco Music Hall on September 19th. “The Queen of Austin Soul” has played prestigious shows at Austin City Limits Festival, SXSW, Apollo Theater, NFL Draft, and sold out shows in legendary venues in her hometown. Awarded best female vocals at the Austin Music Awards, Tameca was personally asked by presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke to perform at his Austin rally for both his senatorial and his presidential run—the former rally had a record attendance of 50,000 people.
Her career as a national touring artist is catching fire with recent opening slots for Grammy Award winner Leon Bridges, fellow Austin native Shakey Graves, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Willie and Lukas Nelson and Grammy Award winning artist Gary Clark Jr. In November 2018 and March 2019, she embarked on her first tour ever, opening for Gary Clark Jr. in sold out theaters across the country.
“I love Tameca Jones,” tweeted Gary Clark Jr.
With new music on the way and a healthy national touring schedule ahead, Gary Clark Jr and Austin, TX will not be the only ones who love Tameca Jones for very long. Doors at Motorco Music Hall open at 7 pm. The show starts at 8 p.m.
